Our founder, right from college had a love for science. Linda attended Farleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey as a Presidential scholar and earned an associates degree with an emphasis in science. She then pursued a Bachelor of Science in medicinal chemistry from University of Buffalo in New York, which set the pace for a rewarding career rooted in laboratory science. Graduate school beckoned, and Linda moved to Texas to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy from the College of Pharmacy at University of Houston. Armed with an understanding of how medications are made and what medications can do for – and to – the body, Linda began her career in compounding in 1996. Her love for children and a deep desire to help others led Linda to Children’s Memorial Hospital in Houston’s iconic Texas Medical Center, the largest life sciences destination in the world, where she cared for pediatric transplant patients and was also responsible for all compounding formulations that was daily delivered to the various units of the hospital. After nearly 10 years in that role and after the birth of her second child, Linda was drawn in late-2010 to open MedRx Compounding & Pharmacy to better control dosing and care in an underserved south Houston community. “Love brought me here.” As owner and pharmacist, Linda has since specialized in pediatric dosing and medications; pharmaceutical  compounding for dermatology, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), wound care and healing. As a pharmacist, her philosophy is to help people heal as they encounter her. Her journey through laboratory science and compounded formulations has led Linda to collaborate with Houston’s most sought-after dermatologists and plastic surgeons on intricate topics from newborns with severe eczema to cystic acne in middle-age females. Linda connected the many dots of her passions by launching Zoe skincare in 2016. In collaboration with chemists, dermatologists and estheticians, she draws upon her background in science and compounding to responsibly source ingredients from nature to enhance their potency through laboratory science to help heal the skin. Her mission is to propel skincare to new heights where it repairs, replenishes and restores the skin’s integrity.
